How to Live Problem Free

joe-dilem-glasses.JPG Everybody has problems but nobody realizes the truth about them. Once you get this, you will never have another problem – ever. If you’re interested in living a problem free life, keep reading.

First, realize we are problem-making beings.

It appears to be the human condition to find problems, create them, and/or attract them. Even when you resolve a problem, you almost instantly fill the gap with another one. Almost nobody knows this. Yet it’s the key to living a problem free life. You have to understand that as one problem disappears, another bubbles up to take its place. That’s how the human mind works. Some people like drama more than others, but we all seem to attract problems simply out of human habit. It’s our current nature. It’s our program.

Second, you can transcend all problems with detachment.

To paraphrase Buddha, life is suffering, but once you realize that life is suffering, you no longer have to suffer. You are free. At that point you realize that life is a theatrical experience and you are just playing your part in the script of life. You are detached. You are, in many respects, awakened. This second insight is just a deeper understanding of the first one. Yes, we are problem-making beings but you can also detach from the experience of the problems. You can witness them. You can watch them as if watching a soap opera on television.

Third, problems are due to perspective.

A problem to one person may be a blessing to another person. It depends on your intention, which directs your perspective. So where is the real problem? Is there even a problem at all? Dr. Hew Len, my coauthor on the book Zero Limits, often asks, “Have you ever noticed that when you have a problem, you are there?” He means that the problem is yours — yours in perception and yours in responsibility. Clear the beliefs in you that see it as a problem and the problem is gone. Poof!

The above insights work for any problem you can name.

Got money problems?

It’s only a problem because you aren’t accepting what you have and are focused on what you want with a feeling of lack or even desperation. You need to be grateful for what you have now and want more. When you do that with awareness and detachment, the issue isn’t a problem, it’s just your next activity. When you take the edge off your stress, you can more clearly see your next move.

Got relationship problems?

It’s the same sceanrio. It’s only a problem because of your perspective that it is a problem. From a higher view, it’s the next scene in the play of life. When you can take a deep breath, and realize this is just your next moment, you can more easily decide what to do. In fact, with clarity, there’s not even a decision. You know what to do and just do it.

To recap, the larger insight here is to realize that as a human you will always have “problems.” Always. But if you understand and accept that fact, you are then free from all problems and can lead an authentic problem free life.

You got a problem with that?

Joe

Getting clear helps resolve problems and understanding the nature of them is part of breaking free. Great topic!

I think the real problem it’s that people are attracting problems and more problems, and they think they are doomed to the rest of her life’s.

I remember the case of the gay guy in the film “The Secret”, shows in a certain way that we are the creators of our life and nothing else!

Think always in what you want, not that life’s a problem!

Thank you Joe, I continue use the Four Powerful Sentences you mention about in the book “the KEY” and next day I found your book “Zero Limit” in TOP 10 of bookstore, of course it’s Chinese version.

And there are uncountable miracles happened in my life, I told lots of people but seems like they are not 100% believed, i know that is not there problem, it’s me.

Clean, Clean, Clean, Please forgive me, I’m sorry, Thank you, I love you.

    Joe,

    Thanks for the keen insights.

Changing perspectives helped me with my “problems.” It helped when I started viewing them as “challenges” rather than problems. That simple adjustment in the way I was thinking of things was a big step for me.

I also appreciate your thoughts on money problems. I see now that as I’ve been focused on attracting money, I haven’t gotten rid of my feelings of lack and desparation. Thanks for helping me in that area.

    I appreciate you.

Awesome insights Joe. Beautifully written. You’ve taken Werner’s “Meaning Making Machines” and made it very comprehensible…

I guess even in becoming solution focused we are dealing with our problems, so transcending them completely and recognising the game is the enlightened and divergent solution.

    Hey Joe,

    Great blog post!

I love the topic of problems, because for the life of me, I really don’t have many! Why? It’s because of the perspective I’ve chosen to have in the world, especially in that problems are merely blessings in disguise…exquisite opportunities.

I find it interesting when a family member raises a problem, or talks about something is “SUCH A BIG DEAL,” … They’ve sort of developed the perspective that there’s something wrong with me because I don’t stress out abbout problems.

Amazing what happens when you begin to awaken…you’re suddenly viewed at as having a ‘problem’ yoursel because you don’t experience the negative feelings others do in problems!

🙂 Hi Joe! You are absolutely wonderful! This was a great article. What a refreshing idea to detach yourself and see ‘your problem’ as the next moment! And when you change your perspective and your beliefs about what’s happening, you change your life, you change the outcome. I’ve listened to ‘The Missing Secret’ every moring for the past week and I think it’s fantastic. Thank you for using your gift to bless others.

    Blessings, Ashika

    Hi Joe,
Been following and reading your books for years. Love your blog and your work.

    Hi Joe,

An excellent insight that hopefully more people will embrace. Stuart Wilde taught us to detach many years ago for the very same reason. This practice has served me extremely well over the years, and I can say from direct experience, it’s one of the few things that will help keep you sane when things in life go awry.

I teach it to my healing clients and have gotten wonderful feedback from them when they truly apply it. It’s good to see others teaching it as well.

    Bright Blessings,

    Hi Joe,
Thanks for this post. Many times when I tell Dr. Hew Len about so-called “situations” (not problems! ha ha ha ) in my life, he’ll say, “Good for YOU! Now you get to clean!!” I love it. Really does give a whole new perspective on everything, and drains all the drama right out of it.

    Love to you,
    Pam

    Dear Joe, 🙂

I have read The Key, I have money problems (and money), and I want to get out of it. I’ve been practicing ho’ponopono, and I wonder if this is to problems with the prosperity. Sometimes it seems that when I do not feel anything. Is it resistance? :neutral:Please you can answer my mail.

I think the easiest way to live problem free is to understand that everything happens for a reason. I once had a near death experience and seen my life from beginning to end and knew all the reasons for why things have happened and will happen in the future. It was incredible.
