How to Improve a News Release

My blog post from the other day was just turned into a wonderful news release and distributed to the national media. It’s worth looking at the before and after versions.

My “before” news release, which was the bare bones of an idea, is on my blog for August 5th.

The “after” news release, expanded and polished by PR Web Direct, and with a stunning photo added, is now online at www.prweb.com/releases/2006/8/prweb421148.htm

Study both.

    Hi Joe

You’re right! It’s much better now. I especially liked the improvement of this sentence:

He should know: after years of struggling with his own weight issues, he has lost 80 pounds, transforming himself from Bhudda-like proportions to an Atlas-like physique.

Perhaps because I always suspected that you yourself invented the “He was called the Bhudda of the Internet, now he’s the Charles(?) Atlas of the Internet”.

But that’s just me, sorry. Suspecious nature 😉

    Kind regards
