I’m speaking in San Diego next week at the National Speakers Association annual convention.

About 1,500+ people are expected to attend my presentation on Inspired Marketing.

I figured I better go get a haircut so I look my best.

After the haircut — being bald, it didn’t take long — I walked down the street to a book store.

I love book stores. They are my favorite places in the world. Walking. Browsing. Relaxing. It’s all heaven to me.

As I wandered, I came across a new book on display called Why Good Things Happen to Good People by Stephen Post and Jill Neimark.

It’s about the new research proving the link between doing good and living a longer, healthier and happier life.

Since I just told you about contributing to the Amazing Kirk fund yesterday, this book and its research seemed timely.

Plus I’m a book addict and can’t pass up a good one, even when I have 150 books stacked up to read at home.

Why Good Things Happen to Good People talks about doing good in other ways besides giving money.

For example, I opened the book at random to the chapter on forgiveness. I was stunned to see how it ties in to some of the messages in my latest book, Zero Limits.

Stories about people who were accidentally shot and permanently disabled, or beaten and raped, who managed to forgive their assailants anyway, are inspiring.

And the book offers solid research — fifty studies at forty-four major universities — to support the idea that unconditional forgiving leads to a happier, healthier you.

Forgiving is a way to do good.

And as you practice forgiveness, you get better.

I later jumped to the front of the book and was delighted to see the first chapter titled, “Find the Fire.” (You know, my moniker is Mr. Fire, so it seemed destined.) 🙂

In that chapter the authors declare, “The remarkable bottom line of the science of love is that giving protects overall health twice as much as aspirin protects against heart disease.”

Whether you read the book or not, keeping in mind that there are other ways to do good besides giving money is a powerful way to remind you of your choices in life.

Give love.

Live longer, happier and healthier.

Sounds like a good deal to me.

Joe

News FlashZero Limits became an Amazon Top 100 bestseller yesterday. That’s the third time. The first two times were due to pre-orders for the book. Now that the book is for sale on www.amazon.com and www.bn.com and headed into a book store near you, it is selling even more, and faster. Look out New York Times!

Hi, I am so delghted you happened to wander into that bookstore and buy our book because only two days ago I ordered yours, and sent my coauthor to Amazon to look at it as well. A nice synchronicity! Someone had posted a link to a radio interview with you on a yahoo group I read, and an excerpt of your wisdom from your new book: “”I asked Dr. Len how he went about healing himself. “I just kept saying, ‘I’m sorry’ and ‘I love you’ over and over again,” he explained. Turns out that loving yourself is the greatest way to improve yourself, and as you improve yourself, you improve your world.”

It is very relaxing to say those phrases. I think its a simple, direct way into self- and other-forgiveness.

You surely are Mr. Fire, we call discovering love the moral equivalent of the discovery of fire. 🙂

Knock ’em dead next week Joe! I love this:

“The remarkable bottom line of the science of love is that giving protects overall health twice as much as aspirin protects against heart disease.” – just beautiful! Thanks for the book recommendation.

I love your work, your words, your wisdom. However, just one time I would like to receive an e mail with your words without a connection to something you are selling. It is so obvious and somehow seems small. Sometimes I am a little embarrassed for you. I think you can truly give things for free sometimes to your customers. You can respect them by not ALWAYS pushing your product and tooting your own horn (so loudly). Just a thought.

Hi Kathleen. I’m not sure if you are new to my work or my mailing list, but I give things away for free, with no strings attached, every week. This very blog is an example. You don’t pay a penny for it. My ezine at https://www.mrfire.com is another example. It’s a free education in marketing. So is my podcast. And my videocast. All free. And just the other day I told you how to get two of my collectible books for no charge at all. I think you might be being a wee bit too critical with little information. Blessings nonetheless.

    Joe,
The following quote from Kerry and her Angels http://www.timelyacceptance.com http://home1.gte.net/ladyisis/Kerry.htm refers to the Zero point that I think you are writing about in Zero Limits. I have just ordered your book and will understand more fully after I read it. Thought you and some of your readers might enjoy this synchronocity. Talk about being tuned in, turned on, and tapped in!

“We hear about the grids and the portals that are in place and open to carry us into this higher dimension yet only a few are able to comprehend the actual science that explains this change we are experiencing. It is a matter of science! Whether or not we understand the details of this phenomena we are in it, and most likely feeling it at the core of our being. We are entering this place called “no time” or zero point. A place where the past, present and future merge into one.”Everyday seems to offer and present more beauty, more love, more light and more joy. The more I am aware of the Divine presence within the more goodness abounds! With each new wave of light we can ride into the realm of creation! ( Isn’t this the state of Being we create by doing Dr. Len’s process.)

This is another quote from the same message:

“Is this related to the energy of the 7/7/07 that is approaching? I ask, “What is it that this day in time, will bring?
The energy shift of 7/7/07 is being felt around the world as it approaches. It is a day of alignment where we can transcend from this world of polarity and rejoice in our oneness with our Creator. The merry-go-round is about to stop spinning and we will be able to remember when we got on the merry-go-round and began our ride in this dimension of duality. The veil has been lifted as we ascend into this new place of “no time”. We will now emerge from this lapse of memory and begin to remember our true essence and purpose in creation. ”

Dr. Joe – you give and give and give – of your life, the stuff you can’t get back, your days and your times and your heart and your thoughts. You bless and bless and bless and continue to bless all who just get close to the fire. Amen to your efforts and the efforts of all who share in your network. I am thankful and grateful for all you do. DrD

    Note to Kathleen:

I have to admit that I too have had some of the same feelings you expressed, but you know what stops this negative feeling for me? I remember Mr. Vitale’s Books, especially “The Attractor Factor”, which cost me a few dollars (I have read it 3 times), good deal for three books. When you read a person’s writings, you quickly discern their intent. Joe Vitale has genuine love and compassion for all, he has walked the walk, and now he is talking the talk.

I heard he and Noah St. John speak on the Zero Limits for over an hour simply by signing up for the call (no cost), I read his blog each day, he has numerous information available and is very generous in sharing this with us, and thank God for our ‘free will’, we make the decision to purchase, to read, or to hit the big red X on our computer. I certainly cannot afford all the products Mr. Vitale offers, so I choose what I can afford to purchase, bless it, and enjoy. But one point I think you may have missed is: Joe Vitale is a MARKETING GENIUS, so I guess this is why he might be placing ‘marketing’ into each of his products. Guess thats why we are reading his work and not producing our own.

Read “The Attractor Factor” and get to know Joe, then make a judgement call.

    😉
I started reading ZERO LIMITS yesterday and am having difficulty putting it down! And there are coaching clients, my sweetheart, a greyhound, and others who have heartfelt “dibs” on my time!! See http://www.embodysuccess.spaces.live.com

ZERO LIMITS is a radically liberating proclamation of what it means to be authentically human: we are the materialized expressions of the indiscriminate and unconditional Love flowing from the absolute Source of all there is.

It is also a paradigm-shifting manual on HOW TO recover our ability
    to be who we are.

As revolutionary as this material is, its truth is found in the teachings of Torah and the lessons of the Christ; even the est training!

Bottom line: as more and more people read and apply the lessons found in ZERO LIMITS we will discover the blueprint that will empower humanity to manifest divine love “on earth, as it is in heaven!”

Dr. Len is a true Prophet of unconditional Love and Dr. Joe is an inspired teacher and master communicator of the story and applications of this spiritual practice.

You might as well go ahead and order multiple copies because you’re going to want to gift them to folks you care about within a few pages of reading! I ordered 4 copies sight unseen in March; they arrived this week and the three are already spoken for!!

    In love and gratitude!

Dear Kathleen, Good for you for expressing your feelings! At one point about a month ago, I experienced the same feeling about the numerous emails that seemed to be “promoting” something. So I can certainly understand your reaction. But I asked myself why I felt that way. Then I looked around my home and I realized that if it hadn’t been for Joe Vitale “CONNECTING” me to books and programs and inspiration, I would not be on the right path with increased marketing knowledge with a cleaning process that has already worked miracles. It is all in PERCEPTION. I then also asked myself if that feeling wasn’t just a little bit of envy. I, too, am a writer (unpublished). I, too, am a metaphysician (no movie credits). I, too, would love to have a sexy sports car (a 1998 Honda Passport). Once I admitted I was envious, I acknowledged that envy is negative, can hold you back and I “got rid of it.” I now look forward to hearing about Dr. Joe’s successes! I read each email with great anticipation, KNOWING THAT I HAVE THE FREE WILL TO CHOOSE TO FOLLOW THE LINK OR NOT. I offer this up as food for thought. And, again, thank you, Kathleen, for your comments. It is always healthy to hear a different opinion.
