Hypnotic Buckling

The picture where you can see my gym was taken yesterday.
The picture were you can’t see my gym was taken today.
Leaves and tree limbs have so much ice on them that they are buckling and breaking. I can’t walk down my driveway let alone drive down it.
Not only are Texans not used to a winter like this, but even Texas trees aren’t.
Wherever you are, stay warm.
Ao Akua,
Joe
PS — My Hypnotic Writing book became a top 100 Amazon bestseller today. Even ice can’t stop the Internet for long. See http://snipurl.com/HypnoticWriting Please support my efforts to make the book a top ten bestseller today by getting a copy or two and telling friends about it. The published version that came out today is an updated, expanded, and enriched new version of the famous e-book, now containing more information — including a complete section of Hypnotic E-mails — including advanced as well as basic secrets — and revealing my own tried and true persuasion (with love) formula. Thank you.

Awake in the Dark

The power went out this morning.

All the snow and ice has taken its toll here in Central Texas.
A winter storm here sends everyone into a panic. No one knows how to drive in snow or ice. Cities don’t have sand to throw on the roads. Banks, mail, Fed-X, UPS and others are closed. Up North most people know what to do when winter hits.
Not here.

The electric company is much the same. They aren’t prepared for snow and ice. So it’s not any real surprise that the power went out.

I walked around with a flashlight in the dark house this morning, feeling the cold, missing my coffee, and being sure everyone was okay. I tried to call the power company but their phone lines were overloaded with other callers reporting their own blackouts.

I decided the wisest thing for me to do was to go back to bed.

As I lay there, I mentally chanted the ho’oponopono process I learned from Dr. Hew Len and explain in our forthcoming book, Zero Limits.

I simply kept saying, “I love you, I’m sorry, please forgive me” and “thank you.”

This went on for maybe ten minutes.

As I kept repeating the phrases, I started wondering what I was doing it for.

Was I trying to turn the power back on?

If so, wasn’t that over-ruling the Divine, which may have turned it off in the first place?

I decided what I was doing was cleaning myself of anything in me not accepting the truth of the situation: the power was off, the room was dark and cold, and there was nothing I could do about it.

I was doing the cleansing method to get to a place of peace. I wasn’t trying to beg the Divine for anything, though I was aware that I’d prefer to have the power on. What I was doing instead was releasing the interference within me that might stop me from enjoying the moment.

So I kept silently chanting.

And the power came back on.

It would have come back on sooner or later, anyway, of course.

But by spending my time getting to inner peace, I was nice and warm inside.

All is well.

Ao Akua,

Joe

PS – Some enterprising soul put the above T-shirt on eBay this morning. Smart move. I instantly bought it. I’m a Panoz owner and Francine says to wear the T-shirt with pride. Of course, on cold days like today, it’d be wiser to wear a sweatshirt.

This Cat Asks "What the —?"

Snow?

In Central Texas?

Yes – and here’s proof.

Spike seems confused.

No hot tub for me today.
Even my gym looks un-inviting and cold.

Law of Attraction Require Action or "Effort"?

One of the biggest points of argument when people talk about the law of attraction is the idea of action.

Many fans of the law of attraction think you don’t take any action. You simply sit like a good magnet and wait for your vibes to slide the thing you want over to your chair.

I believe that you usually if not always have to take action of some sort, but that your action isn’t effort if it comes from your heart.

That’s the key difference.

People run marathons, lift weights, climb mountains, write books, travel on horseback, jump out of planes, make hundreds of sales calls a day, and much more.

It’s all action.

But if they do it because they want to do it, because it bubbles out of their passion to do it, then it’s not effort.

Again, the law of attraction doesn’t mean you don’t do anything; it means what you do is effort-free.

For example, I write an astonishing amount of books, articles and blog posts. If you didn’t like writing, you’d think what I’m doing is gruelling. But I love what I do. So my action isn’t effort. It’s simply right action for me.

If you think running up a mountain is insane, you won’t take that action because if you did, it would require enormous effort.

When you practice what you learn from the movie The Secret, things do begin to come to you without much effort or action on your part. But that doesn’t mean you won’t have anything to do.

I was able to attract a new car — namely Francine — by knowing what I wanted and then taking action when prompted from the inside to drive over to San Antonio one day.

To me, the law of attraction works to make life easier, but not because you don’t take action, but because the action you take is natural for you.

PS – Part of this blog was inspired by seeing famous bodybuilder Frank Zane get in the best shape of recent years — at age 64 — by working his butt off, practically starving, doing as much as 90 minutes of cardio a day, and working out three times a day. Was it action? You bet. Was it effort? For you and me, it would be incredible effort. For him, it was right action. I’m sure he’d admit that it was “effort” to do, but it was a chosen effort. That, to me, is the kind of action you want to take. He attracted his ideal body, but he did it with right action — action that he knew to take based on the ideal he wanted to attract.
