Patrick Doucette signed up for my upcoming
event and posted this on my blog —
“I recently bought my ticket to this event
in Austin as a leap of faith…something was
nudging me to go…and so I am. Flying in for
the weekend of November 8th to 10th but wait
a minute… I am already feeling an empowerment!
“Now that I know I’m going, I somehow feel
stronger, more confident and I am having my
best month ever! This might sound crazy but
it seems I’m already getting a return on my
investment BEFORE the event!! Wonder how
things will go when I get back!?!”
That’s always been my experience, too.
As soon as you sign up for an event, the
changes begin.
Why?
How?
Once you make a decision to do something
different, you send a signal to your mind
that the change begins NOW.
Until you make a decision, life is the
“same old, same old.”
Once you make a decision, you fracture time
and space and create a new reality.
The decision itself cuts through the old
habits and releases energy to move in a
new direction.
It’s psychological and mystical and more.
But it’s real.
Find out for yourself.
Take a leap of faith.

PS — If you are sitting there wondering if you
should sign up right now or not, then you already
know that you want to sign up right now. The only
thing holding you back is a decision. I say take
the leap and see how a single decision can change
your life for the better right now. Just do it.
Please go here —
Life is short.
Nothing reminds me of this more than spending
time with my 88-year-old father and dying
mother these days, and it’s fresh on my mind
after visiting them this past week.
While I was there, dad used a phrase he’s
repeated to me many times over the years,
“Wait’s what broke the wagon down,”
which translates into, “Take action now or
lose the energy of the moment.”
While I suspect the pioneers of the west coined it,
my research couldn’t pin down exactly where this
particular saying originated. Interestingly, though,
I did discover that Orville Couch used it as the
title of a song he wrote and sang.
If you’re a rockabilly aficionado like me, you might
recognize his name. He was an old country musician
who played back in the days of the Big D Jamboree,
a precursor to the Grand Ole Opry.
Of course, his song is about waiting around for a girl
to love him. (What else would we expect from a good
ol’ country song, right?)
All joking aside, waiting around for anything isn’t
a good idea. In fact, it actually becomes part of
the problem by temporarily stopping the flow of good
things into your life.
Why?
Because withholding yourself from life is like holding
your breath – except in this case you’re holding your
action back.
And, just like you have to release your breath to get
another one, you have to release your action to take
another step.
Now I’m not talking about timing here. Yes, there is
such a thing, but as Terri Cole-Whitaker once said,
“You have to act as if there is no timing.”
The beauty of all this is that when you’re tapped
into your Divine connection in such a way that you
know what to do – what inspired action to take –
there really is no timing. You’re in the flow and
moving in accordance with it.
Life is good.
Waiting, though…that’s something entirely different.
This notion of waiting – waiting for the right
circumstances, the right person, the right moment,
the right amount of money, the right job – operates
like a subtle and covert co-dependency: You’re waiting
for something out there to happen or to be different
in order to do something you want to do.
But its impact on your life is about as subtle as a
stealth missile – it can devastate your financial
well-being, inner peace, confidence, self-esteem,
and relationships.
To be clear, waiting is an action, a signal to the
universe that you’re not ready for what you want.
There’s only one way out of this kind of predicament.
You’ve got to stop putting up with things and decide
you’re not going to live a certain way any longer –
and then act on it by putting yourself on a direct path
of transformation. (If you’re serious, I want to meet
you personally in Austin this November at my event.)
Stop waiting around …
You don’t have to wait to see if the government’s going
to shut down again.
You don’t have to wait to see if you’re going to get
laid off.
You don’t have to wait to see what the stock markets do.
Economic certainty is not out there. You’re never going
to “find” it.
You can only create it.
But first, you have to stop waiting.
Like the pioneers with their wagons, you have to drop
some baggage and travel lighter.
Stop waiting.
Your time is now.
As my father would say, “Wait broke the wagon.”

I wrote about fitness legend Bill Phillips (of Body-for-Life fame) and his new Transformation Camp Challenge on March 1st. I gave you an update on my progress with his program on May 18th. Today I want to share my current news because I just received my second medal from Bill, for completing his Transformation Camp 12-week challenge a second time.
Since February I’ve released 37 pounds of extra weight and added 12 pounds of solid muscle. Photos of my inflated biceps after an upper body workout are pretty impressive. I’m no match for my friend Lou Ferrigno but I’m turning myself on with my progress. I have Popeye arms. I feel like a Hercules in training.
There’s nothing like feeling strong and healthy to make you willing and able to take on challenges and wrestle to the ground any encounters. I’ve also noticed that the healthier you are, the more your income increases.
Part of this is due to the higher self-esteem you get when you are fit. A lot of it also comes from the reality that you have the energy to work and get projects done. I’m no slouch at productivity, but with all this extra energy, watch my smoke!
I fully endorse Bill Phillips and his program, and I’ve had to tweak it to get results for me. Since so many people are into health, fitness, weight loss and longevity, I thought I would share some of my insights with you here.
Here they are:
Again, the above are my tweaks for my body. I strongly encourage you to contact Bill Phillips and get started with his tested path. From there, you can fine tune your eating and exercising to fit your own lifestyle.
As I’ve written here before, I fully endorse Bill Phillips. I am not an affiliate for anything he offers (he doesn’t know I’m writing this) but I fully recommend all of it. I’ll be attending his Transformation Camp again January 3-5, to kick-off my third 12-week challenge with him. Famous comedian Groucho Marx once said, “Money frees you from doing things you dislike. Since I dislike doing nearly everything, money is handy.”
Given my own experience, I’d not only agree with him, but take it a step further and say that, besides freeing you up from things you dislike doing, money frees you up to do what you love.
So let me ask you this, what would you love doing if you had, say, a billion dollars?
Lay around on your favorite beaches of the world sipping margaritas?
Charter a plane to New York or London for dinner?
Buy an island in the Caribbean?
Naturally…what all billionaires do, right?
Well, actually, no…not Oprah, anyway.
She got busy and started her own cable television network.
Oh, that’s easy for her, you might be thinking. She’s been in television forever, she’s already mega-successful, and she’s rich. No big deal. Heck, she could probably do it with her eyes closed.
So imagine my surprise when I heard her say in an interview that she almost had a nervous breakdown from the stress of taking on the CEO role, something she’d hadn’t planned on and, in fact, resisted.
She talked about how hard it was to constantly read or hear the media describe OWN (Oprah Winfrey Network) as “struggling.”
“Every time I opened a paper, there was that word – struggling. Not a word I like to have associated with my name, nor a space that I really choose to be in personally, emotionally or spiritually…. So really, inside myself became the desire to literally change the narrative – more important than anything was to change the narrative.” – Oprah
Imagine that – a billionaire working on her mindset.
Yep, even after all the years of abundant success, fame and money, she still has to focus on transformation because, as she said, “You can’t let the outside world – be it your mother, sister, cousin, friends, whomever, and for me, the media – define the space that you’re in. You’ve got to do that for yourself.”
So just in case you were thinking there was some magic amount of money that would allow you to just sail on and coast…
Think again.
No one’s immune from the chilling effects that things “out there” can have on their mind – things like the economy, the government, the stock market, the news, friends, family, co-workers…
They never go away.
You have to stay vigilantly conscious and aware.
Like Oprah, you have to choose something different – “change the narrative” and create a new story for yourself, a new conversation.
And sometimes you need support.
According to Oprah, she didn’t do it by herself. She sought out mentors, people who could help her to see things differently, to see what was possible.
That’s the power of having access to the right people and the right tools, and why I’ve put together a one-of-a-kind event in Austin this November.
Because transformation doesn’t have to take forever – it can happen in one fell swoop.
And you’re never too rich, too successful, or, for that matter, too old to do more…become more…have more.

If you saw the hit movie, Eat, Pray, Love (or read the book), you know that Elizabeth Gilbert (played by Julia Roberts) has a relationship crisis and decides to spend a year in Italy, India and Indonesia, in that order. In the scene when she first arrives in Italy, she surveys the breathtaking beauty around her and says:
There is a wonderful, old, Italian joke about a poor man who goes to church every day and prays before the statue of a great saint, begging, ‘Dear saint, please, please, please let me win the lottery.’
Finally, the exasperated statue comes to life and looks down at the begging man and says, ‘My son, please, please, please buy a ticket.’
So now l get the joke…
And I’ve got three tickets.
Now I’m not telling you this story because I’m Italian and love Italy (although I am and I do, of course). I tell it because I’m wondering…Have you bought your “ticket” yet?
In other words, have you stepped out in faith towards that thing you want?
Have you taken a bold move?
Aristotle once said, “Nature abhors a vacuum.”
Stepping out, facing your fear, taking action, doing something – all of these, in effect, create a vacuum. They place a demand on the universe.
It’s like asking a question of God. If there’s no question, there’s no answer. Most of the time, people have this backwards. So they wait.
And wait.
And then wait some more.
And you know what they’re usually waiting for?
Money.
In fact, they believe that’s “how” they’re going to buy their ticket. It’s why they’re waiting and what they’re waiting for. And I know this because rarely does a day go by that I’m not asked about money – how to get it (fast) or how to make it (fast) – lots of it, preferably.
The funny thing is that these are often the same people who haven’t bought their “ticket.”
Oh, sure, they’re going to, they’ll say, after they get some money.
But that’s not the way it works.
You have to buy your ticket…first.
You have to take action…first.
You give the universe something to respond to…first.
You have to go buy your ticket right now.
It’s a bit counter intuitive, I know. And honestly, it took me years to understand it. Let’s face it…when you’re broke, getting money to do what you need or want to do is the first line of defense, the first excuse that pops out of your mouth.
But here’s the deal: Getting MORE money, making MORE money, than you currently have always involves some sort of transformation.
You have to transform your mindset.
You have to become somebody who thinks and believes differently than you do now.
And it doesn’t matter if you want $100 more a month or $10 million more a year. It’s all about the same thing: transformation.
Because when you go through this inner process, you’ll begin to see, choose and act differently.
Speaking from experience, money just gets a whole lot easier.
So…what if you could buy your ticket – literally – and accomplish all of it in one sweeping event?
You can…right now…when you join me and an elite group of experts in a life-changing weekend at my November event in Austin.
In both ways – figuratively and literally – there’s never been a better time to “buy your ticket”…and change your financial life.
