I have yet another amazing free gift for you.
I’ll tell you what it is in a minute, but notice how much more eager and attentive you are to read this post.
Why?
“Free” is the most powerful word in marketing. I’ve seen people scan entire sales letters unconsciously looking for the word “free” in it. I’ve seen people so eager for something free that they would read the word “fee” as “free” and misinterpret the offer.
A decade ago I offered an e-class on Hypnotic Writing. The fee was $1,500. But people fogged out over the price and misread “fee” as “free” and called to sign up. When I asked for their money, they were surprised. They truly thought it was free.
That said, I’ve been preaching the merits of giving things away for decades. I’ve always personally given away a lot, usually books, but in the last year alone I’ve given away five cars.
Yes, cars.
Giving is so important that I’ve written one book on it and coauthored another. It’s the core of my life. Obviously, I give away the posts on this blog, and my podcasts, and my videos, but I also give away items I could sell, such as my book, Attract Money Now.
As powerful as giving and the word “free” is in life, I’m a little confused that more people don’t do it. When I consult with people (usually for free), they fear giving away their product or service will cheapen their brand and ruin their business.
Even when I tell them Google gives a free service and yet is a billion dollar company, they don’t get it.
Even when I point out several books offer proof that free is a new business model, they are still reluctant.
Why?
I used to scratch my head about this until it came time for me to promote my music.
As you may or may not know, I’ve recreated myself as a musician. I have three albums out and a fourth being mixed in the studio right now. While I’ve been in marketing for decades, I’ve not had to promote music before. I found it a new breed of cat, and with three thousand new albums coming out weekly (!), the competition is staggering.
How do you stand out in the crowd?
Obviously music videos and concerts and publicity can help. I’ll have music videos up soon, and I’ll announce a public performance, too.
But what gets people to listen to your music in the first place?
I struggled with marketing my music for a few months. Oh, I did well offering it to my email list. They are fans and tend to support my passions. (I love you all.)
But how do you make a dent in the public’s mind?
One way is through videos on YouTube.
But that’s not enough. You still have to get eyeballs there.
What else can you do?
Enter the magic word FREE.
There are different ways of giving, of course.
Giving a song in exchange for an email address is one way, but that’s not really free, is it? You’re still asking for something (the email address).
Giving a lesser quality song in exchange and urging people to buy the CD with the higher quality song on it is also a version of free, but it’s manipulative. It’s still not free.
Free means no strings, or catches, or hidden barriers or steps.
Free means FREE.
So I decided to practice a more committed version of giving. I’m giving away the title track from my next album, tilted “The Healing Song.”
This is an original healing sonnet written and performed by me, with original music composed and performed by Grammy winner David Darling.
YOURS FREE: This is an original healing sonnet written and performed by me, with original music composed and performed by Grammy winner David Darling. You can listen to it — and download it for FREE — right here: Click here to get “The Healing Song” for free.

Of course, I’m hoping you love the track and go tell all your friends.
So yes, I’m promoting my music in this post, but there’s a larger lesson here for you.
What are you giving?
In general, it goes like this:
If you want more money, give money. Give to wherever you receive inspiration.
If you want people to know about your service, give away your service. Let them sample it.
If you want more love in your life, give love away. Open the door to receiving by giving.
Get the idea?
In general, the more you give, the more you will receive.
Where will you give today?
And what will you give?
Ao Akua,
PS — My earlier healing music albums are: Strut!, Blue Healer, and Aligning to Zero. My next album, out in September, will have three Grammy winners involved and is called The Healing Song. All those sites have free samples from the albums on them. Enjoy.
The other day I stopped at the local gas station to fuel up my new all electric car.
No, that’s not a typo.
The Fisker Karma is all electric, but uses a gas generator to power the electric motor when the stored electricity runs out. So you have to put fuel in it sometimes. It’s possible to never use gas, if you drive locally (50 mile range per charge).
Don’t worry your head about it, though. That’s not the point of this post.
While there, a fellow asked me about the car. That’s not unusual, either.
Everywhere I drive the Karma, people stop and ask about it. I’ve had people film me on the highway while they were driving, follow me and ask me about the car, sit beside me at a traffic light and praise the car, and more. The Karma is a head turner. It was designed by the same fellow who designed the Aston Martin, so it has lines that turn heads.
But that’s not the point of this post, either.
This gentleman at the local petrol station said at one point he had fourteen cars and four airplanes. He added, “You can’t take care of that many cars or planes, so I started giving them away.”
I could relate. I’ve given away four of my cars so far. And I didn’t start with as many as this stranger at the station.
The fellow added, “At some point you just stop buying so many things for yourself and you start helping other people.”
Exactly.
That’s the whole point. You have to take care of yourself first before you can help others in any big way.
Yes, of course you can help others right now, with whatever you have or can do. I’m talking about something greater than that, though. It’s one thing to help a neighbor move his outdoor grill. It’s quite another to give them a car.
I know a person who does volunteer work around the world. She said, “You have to have money to work for free.”
Exactly.
Money is essential to your ability to help others.
If you don’t have much right now, or always feel like you are just squeaking by, then it’s your beliefs about money and yourself that are causing the block.
Once you handle your money issues, you are free to attract money and direct it to where you feel it will do the most good.
You can call it Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, but any way you look at it, until you take care of your own survival needs and move into prosperity, you won’t easily be able to think about let alone actually help anyone else in a big way.
I’m not suggesting that you own a fleet of cars before you start giving and helping others. But I am suggesting that you make yourself strong first. Then you will have the means and the strength to help others.
I’ve often said and written that if you want to make a difference in the world, begin with one person: yourself.
Once you’ve changed your own life, it’ll be far easier to help others.
If you want the world to be a happier, healthier and more prosperous place, begin by contributing one happy, healthy and prosperous person to it: you.
How do you accomplish this?
Be good to yourself. Admit what you want for yourself. Take action to attract it to you. Get yourself financially secure.
One resource is my book, Attract Money Now. It’s still free to read online right here. (There’s a beautiful hardcover edition, that comes with a DVD of a fiery presentation by me on attracting money, right here.)
The book contains seven steps for attracting money now. One of those steps is giving. Again, you don’t have to give away a car, but giving money opens you to receive money.
Have you read the book?
Have you done the steps in the book?
Are you giving money to where you receive inspiration?
I think right now might be a good time to start.
I’m beginning the helping process by giving you the book, entirely for free.
What will you do next?
Are you ready to help you?
Ao Akua,
Joe
PS – Last year I gave a presentation at the offices of my Miracles Coaching team where I explained seven ways to get clear of inner blocks. The group loved the steps. The event was filmed and later turned into a free course you can watch online. Go here to see it right now: http://www.joevitalecoach.com/campaigns/sevensteps/ I’m offering you the steps to freedom — free. It’s up to you to do them. Well?
These days I try to get a massage every week. It’s my way of taking care of myself, soothing my body and mind, and recharging my inner batteries for the days ahead.
Before each massage, my therapist and I talk. She’s been watching my career for years, and always seems genuinely inspired by what I do and accomplish. She asks me questions about my next intentions, applauds them when they manifest, and more.
For example:
“You just seem to think it and there it is,” she told me recently. “It’s as though you don’t have any glitches to manifesting what you want.”
I hadn’t thought about it that way before but she is on to something: Glitch-Free Attraction. As I’ve said at seminars recently, “The clearer you are, the faster you manifest.”
“The clearer you are, the faster you manifest.”
That statement means that you can virtually have anything you can imagine if you are in internal alignment to receive it.
Of course, too many of us have “snags” in our thinking.
All those mental ‘snags” are the glitches that slow down or stop manifesting. You have to get clear of them in order to accelerate the manifestation of what you want.
But how?
A few months ago I gave a presentation at the offices of my Miracles Coaching team where I explained seven ways to get clear. The group loved the steps. The event was filmed and later turned into a free course you can watch online.

Remember, if you aren’t attracting what you want, it may be because you have “mental glitches” in the way. Those can be handled. I’m offering you the steps to freedom — free. It’s up to you to do them.
Your move.

A decade or so ago someone created an online virus and named it after me. The “Vitale” virus circulated the Internet, causing chaos and complaints. I was upset about it until a friend said, “You know you’re famous when they name a virus after you.”
Years ago I attended an event as the keynote speaker. I went to pick up my name tag but someone had already taken it, claiming to be me. Throughout the weekend I kept hearing “Joe Vitale did this” and “Joe Vitale did that,” when in reality it wasn’t me at all. I couldn’t even get my meals at the event because I wasn’t wearing my name tag.
Often people send out emails saying I endorse them or their product. Sometimes it’s true. Too often, though, it isn’t. Someone wrote me recently complaining about a course they said I promoted. Turns out it wasn’t my promotion or my course.
And a year or so ago there were some imposters on Twitter claiming to be me. As far as I know, we got Twitter to delete all of their accounts.
Just the other day I noticed someone selling some of my e-books on Amazon. They are doing it illegally. I didn’t even know my e-books were on Amazon until I accidentally saw a link to one while researching a completely different book.
It’s a strange experience to read about things I haven’t done, written, or promoted.
My advice to you is to proceed with caution. If something looks unfamiliar or unlikely to you, check it out. The best way to keep up with the real Joe Vitale is right here on this blog or by signing up for my email list over at http://www.JoeVitale.com
Of course, there’s also all of this:
I’m flattered by all the attention but not all of it is actually mine.
Just a heads up.
Ao Akua,
PS — I’m excited. My new music CD is nearly complete. Get details right here.
The other day I stopped at a gas station to refuel my Spyker. As usual, a few people circled me, wanting to take photos of the exotic car. A woman shyly asked me if the car was a dream purchase of mine or bought just because I had money to burn.
I told her it was a little of both. That’s when she surprised me by saying oil was discovered on her property. She and her husband were about to start receiving fifty million dollars every month.
Think about it: Fifty million dollars each and every month.
The woman seemed uncomfortable receiving that much money. She went on to tell me that she already had property in different places, several cars, five children, a great life, and more. I noticed she was driving a brand new car which still had the temp tags on it.
She said, “It feels like this is a curse.”
Fifty million dollars a month is a curse?
I felt like I had walked into the Twilight Zone. I didn’t expect this encounter, but felt I must have attracted it for a reason. I felt I had to say something.
“The money is a gift, not a curse,” I told her. “You can direct that money to where you think it will do the most good.”
I’m not sure she heard me. She went on and told me her name (no, I’m not going to tell you it), shook my hand, and then drove off after saying, “Have a nice life.”
Why did this event occur?
I’ve often challenged people to lift their issues around money by pretending they won the lottery. What would you do if you won three million dollars? Your answer helps reveal what you really want to do in your life.
But this woman admiring my Spyker lifted my limits.
What would I do if I suddenly had fifty million dollars coming in every month?
I met a family years ago who has so much money coming in from their inventions that they built a hotel, a car factory, a winery, a spa, a golf course and last I heard, were building an entire city.
That’s them.
What would you do if you had fifty million dollars coming in every month?
Well?
Ao Akua,
PS – My first singer songwriter music CD is coming soon. Check it out right here.
