I flew to Houston recently to do one thing: test drive a Spyker, a hand made exotic super car from Holland.
It was a departure from my usual way of doing things. I never take a day off to fly to another city just to see a car. But it felt right. It felt like I almost couldn’t stop myself from doing it.
That bothered me.
I wondered why I was so intent on seeing that car. It was a stretch to see it. I had to interrupt my day, my business, my life. But I know the power of stretching to increase personal growth. I also know the power of trusting those hunches. So I stretched.
Now here’s where this gets interesting.
I thought I was going to see the Spyker. After all, that’s why I booked the flight.
But from a higher plane (no pun intended), I actually went there for a completely different reason.
Yes, I went to see the car. That was the sole purpose of the trip. But once I knew I was going anyway, I started to think of what else I could do in Houston.
Recently I had been interviewed for three different CNN radio shows out of Houston. The host liked me and asked to talk about filming a TV show with me. I told him about Operation YES, my movement to end homelessness. He liked it. So we planned to talk again soon.
Well, since I was going to Houston anyway, I asked if he wanted to meet. He did.
As it turns out, I loved driving the Spyker car. It’s fast and furious and oh so unique looking. But it’s also tough to crawl in and out of it, like entering a fighter jet.
I didn’t buy the car.
It appears the real reason I went there was the CNN interview. It was intense brainstorming, high energy, and led to solid action. We made plans to make a realty TV show out of my helping homeless people with the Law of Attraction and my other work.
So why did I go to Houston?
Was it the car or CNN?
Obviously I consciously thought it was for the car.
But unconsciously I was really going there for CNN.
The lesson here is to trust the process.
Even when it may seem like you are off track, you may actually be on the right path.
You might doubt yourself or feel disappointed when you take action for a reason (such as to see a car) and it doesn’t work out.
But if you relax and breathe and remain aware, you will probably find there’s a better reason for the action you took.
Since you can learn from everything and everyone, it’s most likely true that you are always on the right path.
Assume that’s true and see if life takes on more of an exciting charm.
What if what you’re doing right now, no matter what it is or what you prefer, is exactly the right moment for you?
What if there’s something in this moment that is for you to see and act on that you hadn’t previously seen or considered?
Think about it.
For funsies, you can watch me meeting the 2008 Spyker Laviolette in Houston right here:
Ao Akua,
PS – Know you’re on the right path and accelerate your results with the Law of Attraction and more. Check out Miracles Coaching.
How do you speed up the Law of Attraction? How do you get results faster? How do you almost instantly manifest your intentions?
Big questions. But the answer is the same:
Raise your vibration.
In short, the clearer you are, the faster you attract; the happier you are, the faster you attract; the more grateful you are, the faster you attract.
Clarity, happiness, and gratitude all raise your vibration.
But how do you raise your vibration?
Here are some fast ways:
1. Be happy now. If you’re not happy right now, you’re missing a great opportunity.
2. Smile. It will change your brain and confuse others.
3. Laugh. Just let it rip. This will transform you. You don’t need a reason to laugh, either.
4. Practice “What if UP” thinking. Instead of asking what will go wrong, keep asking what will go right.
5. Imagine the end result you want, complete with the satisfied feelings. Really get into the experience.
6. Remember a time when you were happy. That memory can be relived in the present.
7. Play with a puppy.
8. Look into the eyes of a child.
9. Feel grateful. There’s bound to be something you can feel grateful for right now. You’re alive. Give thanks.
10. Get a Miracles Coach.
Obviously there’s more to the question, but this is a tip-sheet, not a book or audio program. For that, consider The Secret to Attracting Money.
Remember – Expect Miracles.

What’s a key to self-help, self-improvement or self-development?
Meet Ace Pepper.
Ace is the most upbeat, revved up and amped up guy I know. He absolutely loves making amplifiers for musicians.
I’ve seen people in love with their work before – from plumbers to postal workers to electrical repair people — but Ace Pepper takes the passion award.
The man is plugged in. He lives to make amps and does for famous musicians. I met him at a guitar show I attended with Pat O’Bryan. I liked Ace’s energy and was curious to what made him so contagiously happy.
I didn’t see Ace for almost a year, though. When one of my amps started to whistle when it was supposed to hum, I thought of Ace. Pat and I went to see him, my old amp in tow.
Ace gave me an hour lesson in how amps are built.
It was exciting.
It was in-depth.
It was intense.
I didn’t understand any of it.
But the guy’s boyish enthusiasm for his work was riveting.
I ended up hiring Ace to make me the amp of all amps.
I told Ace I wanted something so astonishing that Bruce Springsteen would hear the legend of it and contact me, wanting to buy it.
Now here’s where this gets interesting.
I don’t know how to use a professional amp. Oh, I know how to plug a guitar cable into it and turn it on. But Ace’s amps have a dozen dials, multiple plug-in holes, and wires coming out of the back of it. He makes amps that would challenge Tesla. Having him build me a professional custom-made amp was asking him to build me a car I couldn’t drive.
Yet.
And that’s a secret to self improvement.
I told Ace I wanted him to build me an amp that I would “grow into.”
What I meant is this: I’ll learn how to use the amp once I have it. I’ll experiment, ask questions, make mistakes and grow. I’ll stretch myself into a comfortable fit.
This is true of virtually anything you want to learn.
Set an intention and then start working/playing/learning to grow into it.
Same with singing.
I don’t sing. Never used to, anyway. But I decided to do something huge and daring – not knowing exactly how I would accomplish it – and announced one day I would put on a one-man theatrical show called “Mr. Fire’s Wonder Show: An Evening of Magic, Music and Miracles.”
Talk about establishing a goal I’d need to grow into!
Singing?
Magic?
Miracles?
Well, the Law of Attraction kicked in and I started to attract the people and coaches I need to make that goal come true.
I stumbled into a vocal coach by the name of Guy Monroe. The guy is a-maz-ing. He’s also amped up about his work.
He took me under his wing, coached me with his vocal and verbal methods, and terrific upbeat energy, and I’m now singing Neil Young, Neil Diamond, Harry Chapin and more.
Recently I startled myself by singing Glen Hansard’s wonderful song, Falling Slowly, from the movie Once. I didn’t think I had a shot at getting close to the song, as it has such vocal extremes in it, from soft to shrill.
But Guy coached me, encouraged me, and I went for it.
I not only sang it, but I sang it pretty darn good.
Of course, I’m no Glen Hansard, but I’m an excellent Joe Vitale.
I’m proud of myself for daring something worthy and learning how to sing, accelerating my guitar playing, and getting an amp I have no idea how to use — yet.
Again, if you want to know a secret to self-help and self-improvement, re-read this post.
And then set a big, bold, daring goal for yourself, based on your passion.
It will help you “amp it up”.
Expect Miracles.

International fitness model Jennifer Nicole Lee sent me this photograph of her wearing one of my limited edition T-shirts for my new book, Attract Money Now:
Jennifer was a Phantom Rider last January, when ABC News filmed our entire Rolls-Royce Phantom Mastermind together. That’s when I met her for the first time.
I already knew who she was from her famous infomercial for the Ab Circle Pro, from all the magazine covers she’s posed for (300), from her weight loss success story (which Oprah reported on) and from her book (which I wrote the foreword to).
But nothing prepared me for the experience of meeting Jennifer herself.
She’s beautiful, yes, but also upbeat, optimistic, positive thinking, charismatic, funny, likable, lovable, smart, persistent and oh so much more.
Yes, I liked her.
But there’s more to her than the obvious.
My driver that night said if Jennifer isn’t my #1 groupie, she’s at least my #1 fan.
She not only arrived with luggage full of my books that she wanted me to sign, but she also showed me her ipod and how it was loaded with all of my audio books. She often works out listening to The Attractor Factor.
But her ipod also had everything by me, from the iTunes self-help hit The Solution to my bestselling CD and DVD course on using the Law of Attraction to attract money, The Secret to Attracting Money.
As the evening went on, she would quote my own teachings back to me, such as “The more money you spend, the more money you receive.”
It’s clear that Jennifer is successful because she feeds her mind with success thoughts, stays positive, and takes action.
Every morning she and her assistant get in the car and drive around Florida, masterminding, brainstorming, and dreaming big.
She also read my latest book, Attract Money Now and said:
“This page-turner reveals the real secrets to attracting money! I love it!”
I confess that when Jennifer booked her evening with me for the Phantom Rider experience, I wasn’t sure how I could help her. After all, she’s already successful. And she’d already read all my books and listened to all my programs.
What was left?
But she later told me — as well as ABC News — that she got her money’s worth within the first 15 minutes of our conversation. We generated new ideas and came up with money-making plans she hadn’t thought of before. She loved it.
And the end of the evening, Jennifer gave me a million-dollar smile and said, “And the best part of tonight is you didn’t ask for a percentage for your ideas!”
You (and I) can learn from the secret of Jennifer Nicole Lee.
Focus on what you want, surround yourself with positive people and positive thought, and take action.
As Jennifer ends all her emails, what’s left is to just “Believe!”

Last Thursday ABC News sent journalist Dan Harris to my home to interview me about everything from the movie The Secret to the Law of Attraction to James Ray to the entire self-help movement. Along the way we took a ride in my Rolls-Royce Phantom and talked about masterminding, attracting money now, and more. It was quite “the day.”
This was ABC News’ second visit. They were here in January to film the entire Rolls-Royce Phantom Mastermind with fitness celebrity Jennifer Nicole Lee.
Being filmed in a Rolls-Royce with a gorgeous fitness model at your side is a lot different than being interviewed by a sharp mainstream TV news reporter. TV journalists can be pushy and confrontational, and you never know what they’ll ask, all while a video camera is recording your every word and expression. These interviews are often called “firing lines” for a good reason.
Dan Harris is an exception. Oh, he asked the tough questions and he kept firing questions at me, but I could see he’s a caring man with a sincere curiosity about life and people. And I had of course Googled him before he arrived and knew he is passionate about indy music as well as journalism. I saw that he is an exceptional man with an amazing ability to ask questions under pressure. I liked him. Still do.
Still, most of his questions came from a basic belief that money is bad. “You actually charge $5,000 for your Rolls-Royce Mastermind?” Yes, and I’ll be raising the price in March. “You sleep at night selling self-help books?” Of course. I’m helping people and offering solutions to their woes. “You help people to attract millions of dollars?” Actually, I help them to attract money now. “You’re OK marketing all the time?” I’m not marketing, I’m offering.
And so it went. It occurred to me later that I should have asked if ABC News charged their advertisers, and if they slept well knowing they were selling questionable drugs (with side effects such as possible death), etc. I also wondered if the interviewer got paid for sitting around and asking me questions. And doesn’t ABC News promote/market their upcoming TV shows all day long?
It’s so easy to be a critic.
The interview was from a Stage One perspective, as explained in The Awakening Course. It was all about “Who’s the victim?” and “Who’s to blame?” The other three stages of awakening, and certainly Zero Limits, could never be understood on this first level, where the interview took place.
The ABC News TV show will air in May, if not sooner. It’ll be an hour long special on positive thinking. They’ll have people against it (believe it or not) and they’ll have people for it (like me). They’re also interviewing Rev. Michael Beckwidth and Bob Proctor. On the nay side, they’ll talk with Bright-Sided author Barbara Ehremreich and Sham! author Steve Salerno.
You and I will have to wait to see how ABC edits the show. Meanwhile, I wanted to mention a brief moment Dan Harris and I had after the interview in my office.
Since Dan is deep into music (he’s also a drummer), I told him about my Alien Guitar. He asked to see some of the videos Nerissa and I created where I reveal the alien guitar to the person on camera but not to the camera/viewer. He laughed as he watched one of the clips. I offered to show the alien guitar to him while we filmed the moment but he said it might look like he was promoting it.
I then told him that my master strategy was to get a buzz going and then go on David Letterman to show and play the Alien Guitar. I told him I wanted to wait and get people really talking first.
“I wouldn’t wait,” Dan said. “I’d contact Letterman right now.”
“You would?”
“Sure. His show needs so much content that they’ll latch onto this right away.”
I paused as I considered his advice. Then something dawned on me.
I looked at Dan and said, “You know what you just did with me?”
Dan looked at me and asked, “Encourage you?”
“Yep. That’s what we do in the self-help movement.”
Dan nodded, letting it seep in.
“We listen for the latent desire already in a person and then encourage them to take action to make it real,” I explained. “Just like you did with me.”
I wish that moment had been filmed. It demonstrated what self-help and coaching is really all about.
Again, we won’t know what the entire ABC News show will be like until they edit it and air it in May. (Nerissa filmed the entire interview on her flip cam, so we can match their editing with what was actually recorded.) I think the show will be great. After all, I’m thinking positive.
As for now, I’m grateful to have met Dan Harris and attracted ABC News here. It could mean an appearance on David Letterman, with my alien guitar, will happen soon.
