I put up this new blog two days ago, wrote two new posts, invited my entire email list to come review it, and waited for the applause.

Nothing.

No emails.

No love letters, cookies, cigars, care packages, Amazon gift certificates,Β or anything else.

What happened to my audience?

I started to think that no one loved the new blog, or my new posts, or me.

Amazing how the mind falls back to negativity if it isn’t guarded against.

So I decided I would continue writing these posts for me, because I love doing it. I’m a writer so I must write.

I then went into my hot tub, which is my literal “think tank.”

As I was percolating, it suddenly occurred to me that maybe people were commenting and I didn’t know it. After all, I’m new to WordPress.

I staggered out of the tub, went inside to my computer, poked around WordPress, and sure enough, there were 74 comments sitting there waiting for my approval.

They were all glowing, too.

Goes to show you (or me): You can’t assume anything, you can’t allow negativity to slow you down and, with a little education, anything is possible.

Joe

That is quite humorous. Please keep writing no matter what. By the way, you will love the functionality of WordPress once you settle in. πŸ˜‰

Gems of wisdom interspersed with some self-advertising and tiresome ego showing. But definitely gems of wisdom! I appreciate them!

Hi Joe, what do you think of stevepavlina.com’s “subjective reality” article, Ie we are all one consciousness, we are and the reality we perceive is based on our beliefs, and conditioning.. now I absolutely KNOW 1000000% that we are all ONE, that there is only ONE, and ONE is all, because I have experienced it… however I am trying to get to a level of consciousness akin to a lucid dream ie ‘full control’ OR part control, like being able to fly, being able to instantly manifest, etc etc…

    IN ONENESS
    I love you

Thanks for sharing that Joe. It was like a bout of deja vu… πŸ™‚

Yes, a little education is, indeed, a wondrous thing!

I would have commented right away, but I haven’t had time to, read my emails for a while! I love the new look. I also love the fact my husband and I have tickets to see you live when you visit Calgary in Oct. If I bring one of your books I hope you can sign it. I also hope you have other product info. I LOVE your zest for life and how you inspire others. I can’t wait to see you in person!

    i like the new blog,
colors are beautiful, but to me there is an evident problem : the picture of you in the clouds is way too big!, it occupies too much space compared to the articles, and compared to the computer screen… i would reduce it by 33%. it’s too outloud.

    go joe!

    Joe,

Have you read the book “There Is More To The Secret”? written as a response to “The Secret” by Ed Gungor.

If so, what is your take on it.

    Hey Joe

I too migrated from Blogger to WordPress. I made the blogger site stupid-proof by putting in a snippet of code that auto-refreshes to my new blog. If you are interested in this contact me and I’ll give you a leg up!

roflmao! Thanks for sharing that, and showing that even you get those doubts and sneaky voices.

That ties in to a great quote I read somewherr: assumption is the mother of all f*ckups.

I like the new look, even though I was quite new to the old one  I ended up there after reading Spiritual Marketing in one go, hungry for more information on the subject πŸ™‚

Thanks for all you’ve written, because it really helps chase away the self-doubt. I mean, it’s there in black and white: everything is possible. Might be a nice one for me to put up next to the computer monitor, lol.
