img004221.jpg I buy most of my books from Amazon. But I still love book stores and the adventure of discovering books Amazon didn’t suggest I’d like.

I’m in Austin today and grabbed five books (and a magazine) that I’m very excited about. The photo is of the batch. (Left click on it to enlarge it.)

Let me know if you want to know more about any or all of the titles. They are:

One Great Insight Is Worth a Thousand Good Ideas by Phil Dusenberry

The Brain that Changes Itself by Norman Doidge

The Green Marketing Manifesto by John Grant

The Freedom Manifesto by Tom Hodgkinson

Neuromarketing by Patrick Renvoise and Christophe Morin

The magazine is the Jan/Feb ‘O8 issue of Performing Songwriter with Don Henley on the cover.

Note: This blog post came from my itsy bitsy new baby-top Fujitsu Lifebook U.

A great lesson: Even though you’ve got thousands of marketing books – you’re always on the hunt for a new insight.

Those look like tough finds, and I doubt Amazon or their partners would have them in stock.

Just curious – what are your favorite bookstores? and where did you pick these up?
    (or are they secret places…:)

    All the best,

I’d love to know what the “Green Marketing Manifesto” is all about. And you’ve reminded me that I miss Performing Songwriter magazine. (I used to be a subscriber) I’ll be picking that up this weekend.

As always thanks for the post.

    Peace,

    Hey Doc V,

Wanted to add my voice to this small (but strong) chorus. I’d especially like to know what you think of “The Freedom Manifesto,” as I read it a few months back, and I think it kind of flies in the face of a lot of abundance teachings.

I’ve been trying (maybe that’s my problem?) to reconcile both sides of the coin, as it were. Because I was trully moved by TFM. And yet… your work, The Secret, etc. also seems to have set up shop in my heart.

    So… I dunno! 🙂
