    Hi Joe,

I am a big fan of yours. I have a number of your products, and enjoy them immensely. You have some great strategies.

    But . . .

I just wanted to warn you – er – maybe that is a little harsh.

Put it this way, I want to give you a little constructive criticism, a little thoughtful advice. . .

One of the best pieces of advice you gave me (and millions others)
is ‘get out of your ego and into your customers ego!’

Another tip was to do a search in your copy for the word ‘I’ – then get rid of them!

Check you copy in your last few emails – you may be surprised.

I did watch you just last night on TV.

It was a very interesting show!

Larry K. sure knows how to keep the discussion going. He doesn’t slow down for a minute.

Larry throws questions at his guest like a MLB pitcher

And the guest’s have to be ready to swing!

And you were hitting home runs – a real Babe Ruth up there at the plate

To me it appeared you were the cleanup hitter.

Your answers were concise, thoughtful and informative.

    Well Done!

And your new program looks excellent. I was very excited when I saw that you were offering a new program.

Like I said, your past works were excellent.

Unfortunately, I will not be picking up your program right now. I have too many other projects on the go to delve into yours.

    Maybe in the New Year.

    So Joe,

To wrap this up, just want you to heed a little of your own advice.

    Focus outward not inward.

You have done some amazing things with the powers that you have learnt.

But, those powers – the power of FUSION . . .

will be 10 times as powerful – at least in the eyes of your prospects – if you focus on others, and what it has done for their lives.

Rather than on what it has done for your life.

    A Deity bragging seems false.

    A Champion boasting appears weak.

A true soldier working for others, and serving his cause . .

    Shows true power and strength.

Jack, it looks like you haven’t studied ALL of my work.

Using “I” in headlines is a powerful way to get attention and build rapport. It has to be done masterfuly, but it can be done.
Think of the legendary John Caples and his historic headline, “They laughed when *I* sat down at the piano…”

As I’ve taught many times, building long-term relatiomships is THE key to long-term success. By sharing of myself, I’m doing just that.

Judging from the home runs of my recent emails, I think it’s working.

    All the best,

    Joe

    Good point Joe,

I re-read the Caples copy and it is a masterpiece – once you start you have to finish it.

It reminds me of the time I first listened to Bob Proctor speak. At the time I was a doubter of the power of personal improvement through thoughts.

But as I listed – to the power of his words – and the way his thoughts flowed out.

Woven together like a fine persian rug.

I was mesmerized by the ideas.

Good copy can truly be life changing. That is why I so enjoyed many of the hypnotic series.

To be able to convey ideas in such a way as the listener – a doubting listener – takes notice.

    that is power!

Power that can get you anything…

    Like your new car,
    a new job,
    a new home,

    anything!
    Jack
