This is the current pile of books at my feet right now.
I’m always longing to find one book that just grabs and holds me, but usually I have to bounce around several, like panning for gold.
Many of the ones here were used in my research while writing my next book, Zero Limits.
What are you reading these days?

I always read at least one fiction, one non-fiction and one ebook at the time. This time it’s two non-fiction.
Fiction: La philo, ça prend la tête » Prof en cité by Didier Gaulbert (pronounced Goldberg) whose real name is Michaël Sebban.
Non-fiction: Grimoire for the Apprentice Wizard by Oberon Zell-Ravenheart (I love it!)
Non-fiction (received today): Clear Blogging by Bob Walsh.
Thank G-d for speed reading 😉
Joe:
I, too, am a huge reader. Here is my current list (I have bookmarks in each of these, but the only one I’m on the second time through is James’):
Working With The Law by Raymond Holliwell
The Science of Success by James Ray (who I will hear speak in Minneapolis in two weeks)
Life’s Missing Instruction Manual by YOU!
The Dark Side of the Light Chasers by Debbie Ford
Two Weeks to a Breakthrough by Lisa Haneberg
And, just for good measure, my own book is in my stack as well. It’s called The 100% Factor: Living Your Capacity and I self-published it – it was released in September. I’d love to send you a copy!
Hi Joe –
Great question. I’m reading and re-reading some fave books right now:
the War of Art: Break Through the blocks and Win your Inner Creative Battles” by Steven Pressfield.
“Kiss Theory Good Bye” by Bob Prosen
“The Art of Happiness” by Dalai Lama
“Hypnotic Writing” by Joe Vitale :>)
The two that stuck out from your stack are Change Your Mind Change your Brain and Evolve Your Brain. I saw them both recently at the Tattered Cover in Denver area and skimmed the covers. With Begley, I like the science behind meditation. It even mentioned that aged people can improve function in the brain. I am currently trying to get my folks to meditate. Even if it is for a few mins. a week. That is something. I need to put that book on my to-do list. And there is Dr. Dispenza, I really liked what he had to say on What The Bleep Do We Know? He explains a lot of different aspects of addiction, and quantum physics. His book looks like it is of great interest too. You know, I must have seen What The Bleep Do We Know? and The Secret couple dozen times and I still learn something new from each.
I wonder, Dr. Vitale, do you use Photoreading? It is a method that Learning Strategies in MN teaches. I have been practicing off and on and end up reverting back to standard slow pace reading.
You probably could have a blog or a web page solely about the books you have read or are reading. I am always curious what other people read, watch and listen to and look at best sellers lists.

i listen to audio books while i “work” :), I have just read (listened) Autobiography of a Yogi by Paramahansa Yogananda, narrated by Ben Kingsley i loved it so much that i bought a hard copy as well,so that i can read it again.
It’s a good introduction to the whole science and philosophy of Yoga.
Hey Joe,
Great question…I love to read as well. Here’s my current list of inspirations…
The Isaiah Effect by Greg Braden
Quantum Success by Sandra Anne Taylor
Power of the Soul by John Holland
Magical Worlds of the Wizard of Ads: Tools and Techniques for Profitable Persuasion by Roy H. Williams
I prefer non-fiction. I like to make the most of my time plus I am a mom to a toddler and run my own business so I now LISTEN to books while I work and play.
I’m currently listening to Think & Grow Rich and The Law of Attraction.
Keep the audio books coming!
It was by coincidence (or is it) that I went to one store, browsing and bought Buzzmarketing by Mark Hughes. Later that day, I went to another book store, browsing again and bought your “There’s a Customer Born Every Minute”.
I am done with Buzzmarketing. And now am reading your P.T. Barnum book. And I can’t stop to think about how the two books has so much things in common, though written on different subject or approach.
You, Barnum and Hughes, in many ways, think alike.

all by Paramahansa Yogananda, I’m reading….
“The Law of Abundance” – is very similar to what is outlined in The Secret, except that it defines how to make oour efforts even stronger by spiritualizing them.
“The Laws of Success”
“The Divine Romance”
“Lessons in Self-Relization”
Currently I am reading a set of fiction books by Jaqueline Carey, the first book is called Kushiel’s Dart. Her writing is extraordinary and when one considers that tis was her first book…wow is all I have to say.
A Thousand Names for Joy: Living in Harmony with the Way Things Are is the new book by Byron Katie with Stephen Mitchell. I’ve just finished it for the third time! Since you like The Work, Joe, you might enjoy this one – it’s her response to the Tao Te Ching, Lao Tzu’s 2500 year old treatise on how to live like a Master. She tells how she does it from the perspective of a “regular” person (who also just happens to run a successful corporation, have a couple of bestselling books, etc.).
I am also reading Brag! The Art of Tooting Your Own Horn without Blowing It by Peggy Klaus. Great for reluctant self-promoters…and just completed The Great Failure by Natalie Goldberg; a great book about forgiveness.
